Dhaka, the 18th January, ’16. Four distinguished personalities were given, “Kazi Mahbubullah Award” of Begum Zebunnessa and Kazi Mahbubullah Janakalyan Trust this year for their contributions in different fields.

The distinguished recipients are Bangladesh National Cricket Team Captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza for sports, Dr. Anisul Hoque for literature and journalism, Professor Haseena Khan, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Dhaka University for science and the well-known scientist Professor AK Azad Chowdhury for promoting higher education.

They were each given a crest, a certificate and a cheque for Tk. one lakh handed over to them by the Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina in a ceremony held at the Shilpakala Academy, Dhaka on January 16, 2016.
