December 5, 2015. The Annual Bangladesh Botanical Society was held 4-5 December at Jahangirnagar University. The conference was inaugurated on the 4th December at 10.00 a.m by Begum Matia Chowdhury, the Honorable Agriculture Minister MP. Ms Meher Afroze Chumki MP, Honorable State Minister, the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Professor Dr. Farzana Islam, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abul Hossain, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Khair, Treasurer, Dr. Abdul Jabber Howlader, Dean Faculty of Biological Sciences, Dr. Hakim Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, Managing Director, Hamdard Laboratories (WAQF) graced the inauguration ceremony as special guests. Professor Dr. Syed Hadiuzzaman, the President of the Society presided over the inauguration function. Delegates from all the Universities and concerned institutions from all over Bangladesh attended the Conference with a good deal of enthusiasm. The media covered the function.
